In October, Cancret will open the Openly II construction site in Widnau—for architects, building owners, investors, planners, and anyone who wants to learn how net-zero buildings are actually constructed.

Tour itinerary:
1-hour tour of the construction site during the framing of the wooden structure for Phase 2, followed by a 1-hour tour of Openly Valley Widnau I, as well as a discussion and exchange at the Openly office (right next door).

During the tour, all three Cancret systems will be demonstrated as they are being erected—a unique glimpse into the industrial prefabrication of biogenic and renewable building components:
Cancret Exterior Wall (Hemp-lime wood frame, CO₂-negative)
Visitors can watch the elements being assembled in real time, including the interfaces between the timber structure, hemp-lime, and clay-hemp.
Interior Walls with Clay Panels
The new Cancret interior wall system combines a precision-built wood frame with a 12.5-mm clay board (56 dB sound insulation, 17 kg, high bulk density).
